1. What are the hours of Town Hall & Police Department-(9AM-5PM)

Town Hall & Police Department are open 9 AM-5 PM, Monday-Friday, however, it is strongly recommended to schedule an appointment at info@bretnwoodmd.gov or 301.927.3344 for any town services or to address any Police Department matters.

2. Does my dog always have to be on a leash?

Yes, when outside of your property your dog must be under your control at all times. This is ensured with a use of a leash.

3. How long can my vehicle be parked on the street without moving?

There is a 48 hour time limit. If your vehicle doesn't move in 48 hours you are subject to a ticket.

4. Am I allowed to park my vehicle in my yard?

No, Brentwood code does not allow any vehicle to be parked on a unpaved surface.

5. How do I report suspicious activities to Law Enforcement?

If you notice something suspicious, it is always best to call the police. In the event of an emergency, please call 911. If the activity is not life threatening or critical, call the Prince George's County non-emergency dispatch at 301-352-1200.

6. Can I have the police look after my house while i'm on vacation?

Yes. You can come into the police department and complete a "House Watch" form and have your home added to the patrol route.
