Election Judges/Contact and Election Info 

Election Judges: We have three new election judges! Jess Myhre (Chief Judge), Emily Gilcher, and me (Kristy Ogamba). Please be patient with us as we work hard to facilitate this year’s election.

We have worked with the Town Clerk to launch a 2025 election page on the Brentwood website. Please check there for the latest info on dates, times, zoom links, candidate info, etc.: Town Elections | Brentwood, MD - Official Website

Key Dates: 

Wednesday, April 9th (6:30PM – 8:30PM): Online Candidate Forum via Zoom (Details below) 

Monday, April 14th (2PM – 9PM): Voter Registration at the Old Town Hall 

Monday, April 14th: Last Day to Register to Vote AND Last Day to Request an Absentee Ballot 

Monday, April 28th: Mailed-in absentee ballots must be postmarked by this date (7 days before election) 

Friday, May 2nd: Final day to submit absentee ballots in person (at the new town hall) 

Monday, May 5th (7AM – 8PM): Brentwood Municipal Election 

TBD: Candidate Meet and Greet at Mixt Food Hall 

Voter Registration: 

We are holding two voter registration days on (April 7th and 14th). You can also stop by the new townhall during normal operating hours to register. Please bring a photo ID and proof of residency. Voter registration requirements can be found in the town charter (Section 506). 

Please note that if you registered to vote in Maryland using your Brentwood address, you are automatically registered to vote in Brentwood. However, if you’re not sure, please do stop by the new townhall to confirm. 

The LAST DAY to register to vote is April 14th. Under no circumstances can we register anyone after that date.

Virtual Candidate Forum 

The Virtual Candidate forum will be held on Wednesday, April 9th on ZOOM. Please note that due to the transition between town halls, we are not able to host in this in person.  

Questions: Please submit questions or priority topics to ElectionJudges@brentwoodmd.gov by Tuesday, April 8, 2025 by 4:00 PM.

We are also working towards setting up a candidate meet and greet as well at Mixt Food
Hall later this month. Details to follow if this is secured. 

Absentee Ballot Request 

Please drop by the new Town Hall or reach out ElectionJudges@brentwoodmd.gov to request an absentee ballot. Anyone can request one. Requests must be made by April 14th. They must be mailed in by April 28th or submitted in person at the new Town Hall during normal operating hours by May 2nd. Any absentee ballot received after this date will not be counted.

Vamos a organizar dos jornadas de inscripción de votantes (el 7 y el 14 de abril). También pueden pasar por el nuevo ayuntamiento durante el horario normal de funcionamiento para registrarse. Por favor traiga una identificación con foto y prueba de residencia. Los requisitos de registro de votantes se pueden encontrar en la carta de la ciudad (Sección 506).

El Foro virtual de candidatos 

El foro virtual de candidatos se celebrará el miércoles 9 de abril en ZOOM. Tenga en cuenta que debido a la transición entre los ayuntamientos, no somos capaces de acoger en este en persona.  

Preguntas: Por favor envíe sus preguntas o temas prioritarios a ElectionJudges@brentwoodmd.gov antes del martes 8 de abril de 2025 a las 4:00 PM.

También estamos trabajando en la creación de un candidato conocer y saludar también en Mixt Food Hall a finales de este mes. Detalles a seguir si esto está asegurado. 

Votación en Ausencia 

Pásese por el nuevo Ayuntamiento o escriba a ElectionJudges@brentwoodmd.gov para solicitar un voto en ausencia. Todas las personas pueden solicitarlo. Las solicitudes deben hacerse antes del 14 de abril. Deben enviarse por correo antes del 28 de abril o presentarse en persona en el nuevo Ayuntamiento durante el horario normal de funcionamiento antes del 2 de mayo. Cualquier voto por correo recibido después de esta fecha no será contada.
