When it comes to music, Jenchesky's heart beats to the rhythm of bachata, a genre that resonates with the soulful melodies and passionate dance culture of the Dominican Republic. With his love for both food and music, Jenchesky embodies the rich cultural tapestry of the Caribbean.

Larry MoranTown ClerkMr. Moran is the oldest of three (3) siblings. Mr. Moran was not born in Mexico, his parents came from the Pueblo of Acatlan de Osorio within the State of Puebla. He is celebrating six (6) months as a staff member with the Town of Brentwood and is looking forward to what is more to come.

Town of Brentwood Native Plant Network Announces Open Certification
The Brentwood Native Plant Network announces its open certification period to have your yard certified. If you meet the criteria, the BNPN will provide you with an attractive yard sign, designed by a Brentwood artist, to place in your yard. The signs are sponsored by the town of Brentwood.Eligibility requirements include:1. Your yard must have at least 10 different species of native plants, and 2. Your yard must have at least 25 total native plants.The plants can be a combination of trees, shrubs, and perennials.Container plants can also count toward the two required criteria if you have a small yard.We will be certifying yards through Sunday, October 8th, so there is still time to plant native species in your yard. If you want to see if your yard meets the criteria, send an email to greensbrentwood@gmail.com and indicate that you would like to be added to the yard certification list.About the Network:Our mission is to restore biodiversity to our community, volunteers and residents are working together to set up the Brentwood Native Plant Network. Volunteers will educate, encourage, and assist residents, apartment owners, businesses and our local governments with planting and documenting native plants on their properties.

Brentwood Police Chief Halloween Safety Tips Everyone loves a good scare on Halloween, but not when it comes to the safety of those little trick-or-treaters. Fortunately, there are lots of easy things parents and kids can do to stay safe on the spookiest of holidays.? Hard Facts about Halloween Safety On average, children are more than twice as likely to be hit by a car and killed on Halloween than on any other day of the year. Top Tips for Halloween Safety Carry glow sticks or flashlights, use reflective tape or stickers on costumes and bags, and wear light colors to help kids see and be seen by drivers.
Join kids under age 12 for trick-or-treating.
Slow down and be alert! Kids are excited on Halloween and may dart into the street. Turn on headlights early in the day to spot kids from further away.
Remind kids to cross the street at corners or crosswalks.
When selecting a costume, make sure it is the right size to prevent trips and falls. Choose face paint over masks when possible. Masks can limit children’s vision.
Drive Extra Safely on Halloween Slow down and be especially alert in residential neighborhoods. Children are excited about Halloween and may move in unpredictable ways.
Take extra time to look for kids at intersections, on medians, and on curbs.
Enter and exit driveways and alleys slowly and carefully.
Get rid of any distractions - like your phone - in your car so you can concentrate on the road and your surroundings.
Turn your headlights on earlier in the day to spot children from greater distances.
Popular trick-or-treating hours are 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Be especially alert for kids during those hours.
